From The Aesop's Fables : The Boy Bathing

A boy was bathing in a river and he realized that he had gone on to the deeper part of the river, and was in great danger of being drowned. A man who was passing along the road and he heard cries for help from the boy. He came over to the riverside and started to scold the boy for being so careless as to get into deep water, But did not try to help him immediately. 'Oh sir, cried the boy, 'please help me first and scold me afterwards.'

Give assistance, not advice, in a crisis.
